Nikola Mišković attended the International Workshop on Underwater and Nautical Archaeology organized as a part of AdriaS - Archaeology of Adriatic Shipbuilding and Seafaring project. This project is concerned with technological development of Adriatic shipbuilding and seafaring from Prehistory to the Early Modern Age.

The workshop was held from 3rd until 10th June 2017 in Dubrovnik, Croatia.

 

This course had a goal to bring together experts in maritime and nautical archaeology, as well as specialists in related scientific fields, to discuss with course participants the full spectrum of maritime and nautical archaeology in the Mediterranean. The course was divided into four thematic units:

  • The ship and its environment: technology and navigation;
  • The ship as a reflection of society;
  • Nautical heritage and its value to today’s world;
  • Nautical archaeology and ethnography in the digital era.
